USA Wrestling is excited to announce that the 2021 Senior Nationals and the 2021 UWW Junior Nationals will be hosted at the Xtream Arena and GreenState Family Fieldhouse in Coralville, Iowa, April 30-May 2.
This event plays an important role in the qualification process for the 2021 U.S. Senior World Team in men’s freestyle, Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle, which will compete in Oslo, Norway, October 2-10. The top five place winners in each weight class will advance to the 2021 World Team Trials on September 3-5, at a site to be announced. It will also have qualifying implications for the 2021 Pan American Championships in Guatemala City, Guatemala, May 27-30.
The UWW Junior Nationals will have divisions in men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman. The champion in men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman will compete for the USA at the 2021 UWW Junior World Championships in Ufa, Russia, August 16-22. The UWW Junior Nationals will also have qualifying implications for both the 2021 Pan American Junior Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina, June 9-13 as the 2021 Junior Pan American Games in Cali, Colombia, September 15-18.
Selection Criteria for U.S. Teams.
The local organizing committee for the Senior Nationals and UWW Junior Nationals is Think Iowa City. This is the third major USA Wrestling national competition hosted at Xtream Arena and GreenState Family Fieldhouse since it was opened in September 2020, a new world-class facility that is perfect for wrestling.
The events will be broadcast live on FloWrestling.

This event will be conducted following the requirements of the state and local health authorities. The local organizing committee is in regular communication with its partners at Johnson County public health and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Masks are required to be worn at all times throughout this event and guests are asked to please adhere to all health and safety guidelines while inside Xtream Arena.
